Celebrating Children’s Haircare With SoCozy

Oct 28

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.

A couple of weeks ago on the blog I talked a little bit about my struggle with Toodie’s hair and the challenges I faced as mom who never acquired the gift of styling. Now that it’s all out in the open I might as well share a few more products that at least help me keep it looking presentable on a daily basis. After all, I am not the mom that sends her child to school with bed head or a rat’s nest which looks like it could be harboring a living creature of some sort. Today I will be introducing you to a children’s haircare line known as SoCozy. It’s So Smart, So Safe, So Easy, and So Cool. It also provides the tools to help embrace your child’s hair- curly, wavy, short, frizzy, straight, CRAZY, confused and so on.

Staying Hydrated With DripDrop #DrinkDripDrop

Oct 23

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post in which I received complimentary product and compensation from SheSpeaks/DripDrop.

Did you know that dehydration affects nearly 75% of Americans?  Adults and children included. Staying hydrated is important for everyone, especially when you are active throughout the day. Whether you are taking a jog through the park, chasing your kids around the house, or recovering from a stomach bug- you need to replenish your body’s fluids. Typically a big glass of water is always a thirst quencher BUT it can be boring on its own. After all, water is just that… water. It doesn’t have to be boring though. This is where a new revolutionary product, DripDrop, changes the concept of that plain glass of H2O.

New HERSHEY’S Yogurt Mix-Ins Make Snack Time Fun #HERSHEYS

Sep 26

Disclosure: The information and prize pack have been provided by General Mills through Platefull Co-Op.

Chocolate and yogurt are two things I could probably never get enough of. I eat more yogurt than anyone in my home and while I like mine simple, Toodie loves adding toppings to hers. Whether it’s granola, fresh fruit, or nerds- we both find yogurt more delicious with a little something extra in it. When I am grocery shopping I always keep my eye out for new mix ins on the shelves. These are yogurt packages with a tiny cup of toppings above the lid that can be added in. Toodie always asks for these in her lunchbox and pouring in the little container of goodies makes the experience even more fun.

The Kupp’ : Drinking Glasses For Kids #MomsMeet

Sep 23

Disclosure: I received this product for free from the sponsor of the Moms MeetSM program, May Media Group LLC. All opinions are my own.

Part of growing up means ditching the sippy cup and moving on to a big kid’s glass. At 2 years old Toodie was already showing interest in starting the transition. I began teaching her using a small orange juice glass and soon after we were able to eliminate all of the plastic cups in our cabinets. Today Toodie uses tiny glasses regularly and even though she began early, I still have the fear that she will drop her drink and tiny shards will go flying. Thanks to Moms Meet I was introduced to a durable drinking glass designed for kids and made by a mom just like me!

Meet The New Keurig® 2.0 With Carafe! #HelloKeurig

Sep 20

Disclosure: I received the Keurig 2.0 for review purposes from Influenster. I am not being compensated and all opinions are my own!

Can we make it official that the art of coffee wizardry was created by the Keurig company? I already convinced myself of this when I used my very first Keurig brewer a few years ago. Our old coffee pot was dismembered and tossed in the garage within minutes of popping in the first K-Cup. Right now it’s still collecting dust as its competition sits comfortably on my kitchen counter, receiving endless amounts of love each day. As a member of Influenster I had the chance to try the new Keurig® 2.0 K550 Brewing System which contains updated technology along with the ability to brew coffee in a carafe! Now I can use the K-Carafe™ packs to brew up to four cups of my favorite beverages at once.

Fun Fall Fashions At The Children’s Place #PLACEFall

Sep 14

Disclosure: I was provided with a gift card to shop the Fall trends at the Children’s PLACE.

Fall trends have made their way back into stores and The Children’s Place has the most fashionable picks for your the kiddos this season. Back to school shopping has been conquered but I am already bored of the basic solid colored polo shirts and stiff khaki pants Toodie has to wear every single day. I’m sure she is too considering the first thing she does when she gets home from school is rip them off and throw on anything in her closet with a pop of color. After a month of dull colors and plain Jane outfits it was time to bring some life back into her bland wardrobe. Bright colors, sparkle, sequins, and embellished graphics- yes please!

Warm + Fuzzy Back To School Moments With Starbucks Fall Blend

Sep 03

Starbucks & Modern Mom provided me with Starbucks samples and a gift card in order to facilitate this review.

This time of year a good cup of coffee is a must-have staple in my morning routine. With a new school year and my little girl starting Kindergarten I seem to need more energy than I ever did before. Waking up at 5ish every morning is no easy task. But dealing with the lack of sleep isn’t a problem as long as I have my brew to bring me back to life. The new Starbucks Fall Blend has been making the back to school transition much easier for me, especially when it comes to that 45 minute carpool lane I subject myself to!

What’s Streaming: My Netflix Addiction

Sep 01

Let me start by saying I am not a TV person. I rarely watch television and unless Toodie is around for a Disney Jr. fix most of the time it’s turned off or on mute. It wasn’t always this way and 10 years ago I considered myself a huge reality show junky with a DVR chalk full of trash TV. These days I just don’t have the time or desire to watch most of the programs on other than the news or a good movie.  But when I do get the urge for viewing pleasure I get out my laptop and the Netflix stream-athon begins. I just started using Netflix in the past year and since then I have become slightly addicted to the convenience of watching four full seasons of my favorite shows in a row.

Strawberry Soda Cupcakes + Zevia GIVEAWAY #ZeviaStyle #MomsMeet

Aug 31

Disclosure: I received this product for free from the sponsor of the Moms MeetSM program, May Media Group LLC. All opinions are my own.

SODA. The one word that makes some parents cringe in fear! Packed with sugar and empty calories, it isn’t a favorite for many parents like myself. While it clearly isn’t a beverage of choice, it sure is hard to steer clear of its path.  Let’s face it, soda is EVERYWHERE these days. It’s offered at restaurants, fast food facilities, vending machines, sporting events, and even at our children’s schools. I even spotted a soda machine outside of a day care classroom last year! The constant reminder that it is available at all times makes it difficult for parents to control what their kids are consuming during snack and lunch time. This is why I have switched my focus to a “smarter” soda that gives the same bubbly satisfaction minus the artificial sweeteners and calories. Say hello to Zevia!
