With all that sass and a true sense of self, sometimes I think that Toodie really is 6 going on 16. She’s growing right in front of me and I wish I could stop the clock, even if it’s for a short moment. Like most little girls, she has an opinion on everything under the sun. This includes her wardrobe- shirts, shorts, socks, shoes, and all. Over the years I have gotten used to buying her clothes and the majority of the time she was pleased with what I would bring home. Well, that didn‘t last very long because as of lately she prefers to dress herself from head to toe and my input is not requested! Apparently, she has this whole “kid’s fashion” thing under control. At times she walks out of the house looking better than me! Luckily, I hit a home run a few weeks ago when I brought home a bag full of trendy finds from our favorite store, The Children’s Place.

It’s getting chilly out! Have you started shopping for your little one’s winter wardrobe? Last week I took a trip to The Children’s PLACE for a look at their new holiday trends and get a few things to add a little sparkle to Toodie’s closet. By some miracle we have had a lot of unexpected cooler weather here in Florida this month so I really needed to stock up on a few long sleeve t-shirts and skinny jeans. Tank tops, skorts, and sandals are gonna have to hit the back burner for a little while. Not that I am complaining. I would take crisp cold weather over sunshine any day!

Fall trends have made their way back into stores and The Children’s Place has the most fashionable picks for your the kiddos this season. Back to school shopping has been conquered but I am already bored of the basic solid colored polo shirts and stiff khaki pants Toodie has to wear every single day. I’m sure she is too considering the first thing she does when she gets home from school is rip them off and throw on anything in her closet with a pop of color. After a month of dull colors and plain Jane outfits it was time to bring some life back into her bland wardrobe. Bright colors, sparkle, sequins, and embellished graphics- yes please!

Bright, fresh, and colorful styles have taken over The Children’s PLACE this Spring. New looks and popular trends have popped up in preparation for the many sunny days ahead. Here in Florida we tend to have sunshine all year around but when Spring makes its presence known there is a different feel in the air. Flowers are blooming, birds are chirping, and light rain showers leave a refreshing crisp scent behind. This is the time of year that we enjoy spending our days outside appreciating the beautiful weather and observing nature around us. Spring cues a wardrobe change for little Miss Toodie. Shortly before Thanksgiving I was invited to shop at The Children’s PLACE for their #PLACEHoliday event. In my previous posts I have always ranted and raved about how much I adore shopping here for my daughter. If you have a child then I am sure you have experienced the struggle of having to constantly replace clothes and update wardrobes due to their ability to grow like a weed! This is why I stick to affordable clothing that can grown into and not just worn for a month or two. At The Children’s PLACE I am always able to find stylish clothing for my four year old. She may be little but she loves to look good! A little fashionista at heart, she gets excited when she sees the big blue bag sitting in her room just waiting to be rummaged through. As a mom I don’t mind because I am always getting the most for my money here. It doesn’t hurt that they frequently have amazing sales and coupons that can be stacked right on top for extra savings. I could keep on going but I am sure by now you all know how much I enjoy shopping here!
