Last month a special package arrived at my doorstep, one filled with new Starbucks® goodies to satisfy my caffeine cravings just in time for spring and summer. There are only two weeks left of school and my schedule is still packed with end of the year activities. If there were ever a time that I needed my coffee stash to be full it’s now. I thought things would be slowing down but that was wishful thinking. I am hopeful that this summer vacation will stretch out and I will be able to catch up on some much needed sleep before the back to school craziness starts up again. However, I have many adventures planned and I have a feeling that I will still need my usual cup of Starbucks® to get me through the long days of fun. Despite all of the gloomy weather that has taken over South Florida lately I am still looking forward to a summer full of sunshine and outdoor fun. Is tomorrow really the first day of May? Spring is flying by right before my eyes. Soon it will be the end of the school year and the beginning of a long awaited Summer vacation. I can’t stress enough how thrilled I am to not have to wake up before the sun rises each day. Salted Caramel SNACK ATTACK Brownies

I’m a sucker for sweet and salty desserts, nothing new. They are easily my favorite thing to create and consume even though I have been trying REALLY hard to behave myself lately. With the exception of a small piece of pie on Easter I have been sugar-sober for over a month now. That’s a long time for someone that enjoys baking weekly and has a sweet tooth that could kill.  I have still been actively working on my “baking bucket list” checklist and today I finally made salted caramel sauce from scratch.
