Fiber One™ has always done a pretty good job of simplifying the art of snacking. I used to live off of their Oats & Chocolate chewy bars because of how convenient and delicious they are. I still continue to try anything they come out with including the new soft-baked Cookies! I took a deep breath this morning and accepted that my not so little Toodie is in Kindergarten. The past month has been filled with back to school shopping, a new hair cut, picking out uniforms, and making sure she was prepared for her big first day. I also knew we had to have a generous supply of durable labels personalized with her name. I learned this two years ago when Toodie started attending day care and then VPK. If you don’t want it lost, used by someone else, or taken home by another student- LABEL IT! I couldn’t tell you the exact number of jackets we went through the first year and it’s 100% my fault because I wasn’t in with the “label crowd.” Take my word for it, labeling your child’s things will make your life much easier.

When it comes to my makeup routine I find products I love, stick to them, and eventually that thing called a routine becomes second nature. I have been switching back and forth from liquid foundation to powder for the past 6 years or so. But if there is one formula I have never grown to love it’s mineral. While it’s much lighter than your typical foundation, I have never found one that doesn’t make me look older than I actually am. Most tend to accentuate your fine lines, dry areas, and make your complexion dull. At least that is the experience I have had in the past and I have tried several brands from high end to drugstore. I really do want to fall in love with mineral foundation because using liquid can be a bit time consuming. I am just waiting for one to sweep me off my feet!

It’s Back to School season and in a few days my little girl will be starting her first day of Kindergarten! Insert nervous – over emotional – worried momma emotions here. For those of you with children heading to school soon Cheerios and the Florida Department of Citrus want to make sure you’re preparing them for their big day with a nutritious and energizing breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and for our children it’s basically brain food. When I was younger breakfast meant a big bowl of Cheerios, a tall glass of cold OJ, and a slice of buttered toast. I was always a picky morning eater but if there is one thing I would never turn down it was a bowl of cereal. To this day I am a full-fledged Cheerio eater.

Cookies And Cream Popcorn Munch

I don’t know if it’s because Publix has the sweetest B1G1 deals or we really love these classic cream filled wafers but we have accumulated a plethora of Oreo cookies in our pantry. Original, double stuffed, lemon, mint, root beer- you name it, we got it. Every time they release a new flavor it ends up in our shopping cart. With the snack drawer needing a little  of relief I decided to use what we had lying around and whip up a batch of Cookies & Cream Popcorn Munch.Worst thing I could have ever done because no one in this house can stop  eating it including my child who is totally wired right now.
