Everything was done on paper, including the tedious act of writing spelling words and math problems multiple times until they were memorized. Technology has fully blossomed over the years, paving the way for advanced toys and interactive play. Devices like the LeapFrog LeapPad Platinum and LeapFrog Epic Tablet have changed the game while making learning exciting for children.

The Book of Life is easily one of my favorite animated films of 2014 and all time. After seeing it last year in theater with my daughter I knew it had to be a part of our collection.  This breathtaking animated comedy has a unique dazzling visual style unlike anything you’ve seen before. It’s colorful, vibrant, eye-catching, entertaining, and the music is incredible. The soundtrack hasn’t left my car since we purchased it shortly after the move premiered. I love it just as much as my kiddo does!

6 Ways To Make Fruit Fun In Your Kid’s Lunchbox

A well balanced lunch box plays an important role in the quality of your child’s day. Not only does it give them energy and help them focus but it also provides parents with the opportunity to make healthy food choices exciting. When packing a lunch for your kids you have to remember two things- (1) If they don’t like it, they won’t eat it and (2) It’s okay to think outside the lunchbox. In fact, they are more likely to eat what you pack them if you find a way to make the food appealing and fun. For the most part Toodie is no longer a picky eater that fights me on trying new things but sometimes I have to tap into my inner creativity to sneak the fruits & veggies in. Lately I have noticed her lunchbox returns home with a sifted through fruit salad. The watermelon is always missing in action but the other fruits like grapes, blueberries, and pineapple are left behind.
