Fun Fall Fashions At The Children’s Place #PLACEFall

Sep 14

Disclosure: I was provided with a gift card to shop the Fall trends at the Children’s PLACE.

Fall trends have made their way back into stores and The Children’s Place has the most fashionable picks for your the kiddos this season. Back to school shopping has been conquered but I am already bored of the basic solid colored polo shirts and stiff khaki pants Toodie has to wear every single day. I’m sure she is too considering the first thing she does when she gets home from school is rip them off and throw on anything in her closet with a pop of color. After a month of dull colors and plain Jane outfits it was time to bring some life back into her bland wardrobe. Bright colors, sparkle, sequins, and embellished graphics- yes please!

Coca Cola + Walmart Offer #EffortlessMeals For Back To School Time

Aug 26

Disclosure: This in a sponsored post facilitated by The Coca-Cola Company. All opinions expressed are my own.

We made it through the first week of Kindergarten and to my surprise it was rather painless. Sure, I shed a few tears and held my daughter’s hand every single day that I was able to escort her to class. My mommy emotions were in full force but now that we are on week two things have settled down here. It feels really good to be back on schedule, have a good night’s sleep at a normal hour, and a little free time to myself before Toodie arrives home each day. Even though things are slowly getting back on track dinner can be hectic on school nights. Toodie gets home mid-day and by the time we walk through the door she is already asking what is for dinner. Rather than have her overload on snacks I turn to the quick and easy Effortless Meals with Coca-Cola at Walmart. This way I get to take a break from our usual dinner routine and spend more time with my family.

Back To School With Kidecals Durable Labels + Mega Set GIVEAWAY!

Aug 19

Disclosure: I received custom Kidecals in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I took a deep breath this morning and accepted that my not so little Toodie is in Kindergarten. The past month has been filled with back to school shopping, a new hair cut, picking out uniforms, and making sure she was prepared for her big first day. I also knew we had to have a generous supply of durable labels personalized with her name. I learned this two years ago when Toodie started attending day care and then VPK. If you don’t want it lost, used by someone else, or taken home by another student- LABEL IT! I couldn’t tell you the exact number of jackets we went through the first year and it’s 100% my fault because I wasn’t in with the “label crowd.” Take my word for it, labeling your child’s things will make your life much easier.

Saving BIG For Disney With Paperless Coupons! #WalgreensPaperless

Aug 08

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.

I have a love-hate relationship with coupons. Our relationships hasn’t always been strained but over the years we have had our differences. Don’t get me wrong, when I was pregnant five years ago I spent a lot of my free time clipping, organizing, and enjoying the thrill of saving. If anyone knew how to use coupons it was me. My family referred to me as freebie queen and frugalista because I was always taking advantage of a new deal. But as the years passed I became busy with many other things- working, school, parenting, and blogging. I just don’t have all that extra time to slave away, flipping through mailers and snipping until the wee hours of the night.

Stylish Summer Hairstyles For Little Girls

Jul 29

Summer is still in full swing and the heat is definitely not letting up here in Florida. Along with picking out suitable clothing for the season, I always take extra time when it comes to making sure my little one’s hair is tamed! Being the mom of a little girl isn’t a cake walk. Every night we have to wash, condition, spray, comb, and style. If these steps aren’t taken I could easily mistake my daughter for a mangy lion that has never met a hairbrush. Summer doesn’t make hairstyling much easier. It’s hot, sticky, humid, and the frizz monster is always lurking around the corner. This is why it’s so important to have a variety of cute yet manageable hairstyles for the Summer time. I’ve become a pro at the ballerina bun and cinnamon roll pigtails!

Dont Wait For The Truck: Cool Off This Summer With An #IceCreamRun!

Jul 25

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post on behalf of Global Influence.

Am I the only one that thinks this Summer went by way too fast? Seriously, what the heck happened to the last couple of months! I think I am going to blame it on the heat and humidity, seems like a valid argument. It’s so hard to focus on anything else when it’s hot as the Sahara desert here. Every time I pick the munchkin up from school she is sweaty, sticky, and craving something cold. We learned a long time ago that waiting around for the ice cream truck to make an appearance in our neighborhood could take days, weeks, maybe even months. It’s like a magical unicorn. You know it exists but you never see it. “Ain’t nobody got time for that!” We would rather make an ice cream run around the corner to our local Walgreens

5 Stress Free Back To School Shopping Tips!

Jul 25

This is the first year that I will be participating in full blown back to school shopping and honestly it kind of excites me. I know other parents are reading this and thinking, “Are you OUT of your mind, it’s horrible!” Toodie is entering Kindergarten in a few weeks and I don’t know whether I should be excited for her or frightened because my little girl is growing faster than I ever imagined. When I was little I loved the idea of back to school shopping because it meant new clothes, supplies, and a cool backpack. Toodie has started to get excited also and has been active in picking out what she will need for her big day and new year!

Kool Off This Summer With Kool-Aid Fruit Juice Orange Creamsicle Bars #KoolOff

Jul 08

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.

It’s hard to believe that there is only a little over a month of Summer left before the school year starts. I feel like it was just yesterday that we were rummaging through the garage in search of water guns, pool floats, and beach toys. Soon we will be packing up once again until Summer rolls back around next year. We have spent many days soaking up the sunshine and cooling off with a big glass of fruit juice in hand. A nice cold beverage is a must have when sitting by the pool or playing in the park this time of year. Florida is HOT and this Summer was no exception. The moment all the fun comes to an end will be a sad day in this  house. Luckily, I found a way to soften the blow and sweeten the moment by whipping up a batch of Kool-Aid Orange Creamsicle Bars made by yours truly.

Celebrate With Hallmark Poster Cards For Kids #KidsCards #CollectiveBias

Jun 22

When Toodie & I made the big move from Colorado back to Florida I was sad to leave our friends and their children behind. In the past five years we must have sent a ton of birthday cards, thinking of you cards, good luck cards, and kid’s cards to keep us connected. I was pretty worried after the move because the majority of my circle here in FL are single, just getting married, or childless! Luckily her father has quite a few friends who have kids the same age as her. One of them, who is more like his brother, has an adorable little boy named Matthew. It was friendship at first site and they quickly clicked after their initial play date.
