27 Incredible Pumpkin Spice Recipes

Aug 27

I officially had my first pumpkin spice coffee of the year this morning. Usually I have to wait until September but the stars must be aligned because the beloved pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks has been released early this year. Needless to say I had a good start to the day and that cup of pure bliss had me feeling like Fall was in the air. Inspired by the delightful combination of ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon I rounded up 27 of my favorite mouthwatering pumpkin spice recipes to get you in the mood too! The majority of these are desserts but you know me, a sweet tooth is kinda my thing.

Progresso Homemade Quality Chili #ProgressoChili

Aug 24

Disclosure: The information and prize pack have been provided by General Mills through Platefull Co-Op.

This past week we have been trying to make meal time as simple as possible. It’s Back To School season and things are still rather hectic as we get used to our new schedule. Lately we have had a hankering for homemade quality chili but not enough time to prepare it. The new Progresso™ Chili offers a unique twist on classic chili flavors and takes the time out of preparing my usual homemade chili in the crock pot. This only takes about 5 1/2 minutes to make and it tastes just as good. It also comes in a convenient pouch package that is clear at the bottom. The packaging helps maintain the freshness and flavor and allows you to see the ingredients and quality for yourself.

Take Fiber On The Go With New Fiber One Snacks #FiberOneSnacks

Aug 21

Disclosure: The information and prize pack have been provided by General Mills through Platefull Co-Op.

Fiber One™ has always done a pretty good job of simplifying the art of snacking. I used to live off of their Oats & Chocolate chewy bars because of how convenient and delicious they are. I still continue to try anything they come out with including the new soft-baked Cookies! Found in the cookie aisle of the grocery store, these individually wrapped treats are great for on-the-go portion control. Each cookie has 5 grams of fiber per serving. That’s 20% of the daily value! Fiber One Cookies are a delightfully soft and chewy cookie that you can feel good about. You no longer have to avoid the cookies aisle because these are not a guilty pleasure.

The Perfect Back To School Breakfast Combination #Back2SchoolBfast

Aug 16

Disclosure: The information and prize pack have been provided by General Mills through Platefull Co-Op.

It’s Back to School season and in a few days my little girl will be starting her first day of Kindergarten! Insert nervous – over emotional – worried momma emotions here. For those of you with children heading to school soon Cheerios and the Florida Department of Citrus want to make sure you’re preparing them for their big day with a nutritious and energizing breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and for our children it’s basically brain food. When I was younger breakfast meant a big bowl of Cheerios, a tall glass of cold OJ, and a slice of buttered toast. I was always a picky morning eater but if there is one thing I would never turn down it was a bowl of cereal. To this day I am a full-fledged Cheerio eater.

Cookies And Cream Popcorn Munch

Aug 13

I don’t know if it’s because Publix has the sweetest B1G1 deals or we really love these classic cream filled wafers but we have accumulated a plethora of Oreo cookies in our pantry. Original, double stuffed, lemon, mint, root beer- you name it, we got it. Every time they release a new flavor it ends up in our shopping cart. With the snack drawer needing a little  of relief I decided to use what we had lying around and whip up a batch of Cookies & Cream Popcorn Munch.Worst thing I could have ever done because no one in this house can stop  eating it including my child who is totally wired right now. I can only blame myself and my continuous itch to make sweet goodies. If you love the lovable Oreo or the medley of sweet and salty flavors, this is the snack for you

A Tasty Way To Get Your Grains With #SuddenlyGrainSalad Mixes

Aug 09

Disclosure: The information and prize pack have been provided by General Mills through Platefull Co-Op.

Are you looking to get more whole grains into your diet but haven’t got a clue how to make them tasty, appetizing, or desirable for your family? I know the feeling. My child is the pickiest of the picky and it can be a challenge to get her to try something new. I was the same way at her age and still am to this day! If I can’t pronounce it I may give a puzzled look of apprehension before taking a bite. That is until I tried the new Suddenly Grain Salad varieties. I have never had a grain salad before so the idea was intriguing and once I found out there are at least 27g of whole grains per serving I was eager to try.

Rotisserie Chicken Tostadas + Spicy Habanero Salsa #SauceOn

Aug 03

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.

Spicy food is my weakness. Everything tastes better with a flavorful kick to it, especially tostadas! These days I find myself adding hot sauce to many of my dishes whether it’s for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just a snack. I think it all started five years ago when I had a unexpected gall bladder attack while pregnant with my kiddo. Spicy foods were a big no-no until I could get that useless organ removed and I went through serious withdrawal for the next year. A bland diet is quite depressing. Now that my body is fully functioning without any restrictions, I am all about the hotness! One of my favorite Mexican recipes to add spice to includes crispy tostadas topped with shredded chicken, homemade habanero salsa, and avocado slices. Tastebud overload.
