Advent Calendar With Glittered Ornament Pouches

Nov 30

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #CraftAmazing #CollectiveBias

Each year I try to make the holidays even more memorable and magical than the last. Christmas is my favorite time of year. I love spending time with family, decorating the tree, wrapping gifts, baking goodies, and admiring the lights strung throughout the neighborhood. But the best part of the holidays? Creating new traditions to share with my daughter. From exchanging mother/daughter ornaments to building a candy encrusted gingerbread house together, I am a firm believer that you can never have to many traditions to build upon. That’s why we need one more festive addition to our holiday routine! We’re making our own Advent calendar with glittery ornament pouches because it’s one creative method to count down the days until Santa’s arrival. I don’t know why it took me so long to craft my own but I absolutely adore the concept of getting a special surprise each day in the month of December. It makes it even more exciting for Toodie and myself as we inch closer to the big day.

Snowman Sugar Cookies + Nestle Cookie Dough Sheets

Dec 15

Today’s post is sponsored by Nestle Toll House, but my love for their Rolled & Ready Cookie Dough Sheets is all my own! #CookieDoughSheets

Let’s talk holiday baking today. Not the kind from scratch that leaves us scraping batter off of the kitchen counter or finding peppermint candies stuck in our hair two days later. I’m talking the easy kind, the kind we do when we have to fill 10 gift tins with a cute and also edible cookie. During the holidays baking should be a breeze. We have a million other things going on- shopping, wrapping, hosting, decorating, and so on. I am always looking for a way to simplify the process so it’s enjoyable and gives me the opportunity to create new traditions that I can build upon the following year. You can imagine how excited I was to find the new Nestle Tollhouse Cookie Dough Sheets because they make baking quick, easy, stress free, and fun!

Christmas Morning FAIL: Batteries Not Included #PowerTheHolidays

Nov 25

This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/Duracell.

Christmas has always been one of my favorite holidays but it is also the most time consuming and stressful. There is the decorating, cooking, baking, Elf On The Shelf hiding, wrapping, and preparing for Santa’s arrival. Somewhere in between all that is a few hours of sleep and maybe a cup of coffee. I experience pure madness at times and I think I kind of secretly enjoy the thrill. It may be a month away but my daughter is counting the days and reciting her list to me on a regular basis whether it’s in the bath or on the way to school. This year I did a majority of my shopping early and made sure I was prepared ahead of time. This included stocking up on batteries to power up all of those toys under the tree.

Creating Magical Moments + Traditions With Hallmark Northpole

Nov 10

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #NorthpoleFun #CollectiveBias

I am so excited to finally be able to say that Christmas is less than 2 months away! Is it obvious that I have been counting the days? As much as I love the other holidays scattered throughout the year, Christmas is IT for me. Beautiful weather, glimmering lights illuminating houses, salted hot chocolate, warm fuzzy socks, the smell of fresh pine, sleepless nights pondering Elf On The Shelf ideas, and the family traditions- what is there not to love about this holiday? Please someone tell me!

Blissful Holiday Moments With Starbucks Holiday Blend Coffee

Dec 27

Each Christmas I long for the blissful moment in which I can put all of the wrapping paper away, pack the tree neatly with presents, sit back and enjoy the season before it’s over. This year I was able to do it sooner than expected with a warm cup of Starbucks Holiday Blend in hand. If you know anything about me out of the blog realm, I am a serious Starbucks addict. While I love visiting the Starbucks around the corner, most of the time I prefer to brew at home for convenience. Also, the wonderful smell that lingers through my home while brewing a fresh bag of my favorite blend is pure bliss.

Holiday Trends At The Children’s PLACE! #PLACEHoliday

Dec 10

Shortly before Thanksgiving I was invited to shop at The Children’s PLACE for their #PLACEHoliday event. In my previous posts I have always ranted and raved about how much I adore shopping here for my daughter. If you have a child then I am sure you have experienced the struggle of having to constantly replace clothes and update wardrobes due to their ability to grow like a weed! This is why I stick to affordable clothing that can grown into and not just worn for a month or two. At The Children’s PLACE I am always able to find stylish clothing for my four year old. She may be little but she loves to look good! A little fashionista at heart, she gets excited when she sees the big blue bag sitting in her room just waiting to be rummaged through. As a mom I don’t mind because I am always getting the most for my money here. It doesn’t hurt that they frequently have amazing sales and coupons that can be stacked right on top for extra savings. I could keep on going but I am sure by now you all know how much I enjoy shopping here!
