We made it through the first week of Kindergarten and to my surprise it was rather painless. Sure, I shed a few tears and held my daughter’s hand every single day that I was able to escort her to class. My mommy emotions were in full force but now that we are on week two things have settled down here. It feels really good to be back on schedule, have a good night’s sleep at a normal hour, and a little free time to myself before Toodie arrives home each day. By the middle of last week I was ready for a break and the last thing I wanted to do was cook. Before Toodie got out of school I headed to Walmart to get a take-and-bake pepperoni pizza, liter of Coke Zero, and cheesy bread sticks which are a favorite here.
